DELE Exam - Spanish Certificate DELE B2
Level B2 recognises sufficient linguistic competency for dealing with common situations in everyday life, under the normal circumstances of communication that do not require specialised use of the language. The exam for this level consists of the following tests:
Reading expression
(60 minutes)
The candidates will answer by selecting the right answers to 12 multiple choice questions, based on 4 texts. The length of these texts will not be more than 450 words.
Written expression
(60 minutes)
The candidate must write a personal letter and a composition. Each piece should be between 150 and 200 words.
Aural comprehension
(30 minutes)
The candidate will answer 12 multiple choice questions about 4 oral texts (recordings). The recording will consist of announcements, news, conversations or interviews.
Grammar and vocabulary
(60 minutes)
Two types of exercise:
a. Incomplete text (20 spaces): the candidate must choose the best option of the three choices for each space.
b. Multiple selection: the candidate must complete 40 short dialogues with the most appropriate option from the choices given in each space.
Oral expression
(10-15 minutes)
The candidate will receive, 10 minutes before the start of the test, a short story in bullet points or a cartoon and a file with the description of the situation that they will have to talk about during the interview.
